Madisonville Fire Department Capt. Tommy Burris made sure the turtles headed in the right direction and Boys & Girls Club of the Monroe Area worker Dee Justice (picĀtured) made sure the first and second place finishers were taken care of during the annual Turtle Tumble at Kefauver Park on Saturday.

The event aids the club with operating funds.

Pat Keeble took the top prize of $6,000. Second prize of $3,000 went to Katie Giles and Gwen Loy won the third place prize of a deluxe six-person spa. Yoshi Nagami took a $1,500 fourth prize, and Cody Proaps won a 42-inch flat screen TV when his turtle finished fifth. Craig Shallenberger and Neely Ingram rounded out the winners, with Shallenberger getting free pizza for a year from Domino's Pizza in Sweetwater and Ingram taking home a Citizens Watch.
