SWEETWATER-A Sweetwater man who's
looking at a potential 94 years in prison after pleading guilty to
child sex abuse charges, is upset with the City of Sweetwater.
Charles Edward "Eddie" Ledford
pleaded guilty to child abuse/neglect, two counts of sexual
exploitation of a minor, two counts rape of a child and aggravated
sexual battery in September. He is scheduled to be sentenced Dec. 11
and Assistant District Attorney General Paul Rush has requested
Ledford receive the maximum sentence of 94 years for his crimes.
While waiting to find out what his
sentence will be, Ledford sent two letters to Sweetwater Mayor Doyle
Lowe, upset over all his possessions being seized and that he now
faces life in prison, even though the child he raped was so young
that, in his words, "she can't remember anything."
In the letters, Ledford calls Lowe "Dough Low" and refers to him as the "Mayor of Crapwater" and
thanks him for getting his (Ledford's) "Wrapest (sic) self off
the streets." See full story in the Wednesday, Oct. 24, edition of The Advocate & Democrat.
