MADISONVILLE-Two men charged in the June death of an 18-year-old Sweetwater man have been given April trial dates.

Stephen LaBron Chrisman Jr. and Charles Allen Kile are both charged with first-degree murder, conspiracy to commit first-degree murder and setting fire to personal property or land. Kile, 51, is also charged with criminal responsibility for first-degree murder in the June 25 killing Justin Craig Click.

Both men were indicted in August and at the time are scheduled to be tried at the same time on April 16. They are also scheduled to have a motions hearing on March 18.

The alleged reason for the murder was revealed in a Monroe County General Sessions Court when Monroe County Sheriff's Detective Brian Turpin testified Chrisman Jr., 31, allegedly shot Click for allegedly molesting Chrisman's 4-year-old daughter.

Click, from Sweetwater, was found near Bald River Falls in the Cherokee National Forest on June 26. An investigation led to the arrest of Chrisman and Kile the next day by the TBI, Calhoun Police Department, McMinn County Sheriff's Office, and the District Attorney's Office.
