SEQUOYAH-The Sequoyah Chiefs were down 14-0 early to the Scott County Highlanders, but found an answer in Blake Huffman, as he outscored the Highlanders 35-6 from that point and won 35-20.

Hunter Henry scored on the opening drive for the Highlanders and led 7-0. After an Austin Stephens interception, Scott County scored on a second Henry rush and led 14-0 in the first quarter. Justin King added an interception as well to fuel the frustrations for the Chiefs in the first.

Things started to look up though in the second. Huffman scored from a yard out for his first of five touchdowns to make the score 14-6. An inadvertent whistle along with Huffman's play, changed this game. A poor call by the ref's negated a Henry score that would've given Scott County a two-score lead before the half. Because of the blown call, they replayed the down. Dustin Webb had a sack and forced fumble on the next play, the Reuben Abernathy recovĀered. The Chiefs marched down for a Huffman score and Brett King added the 2-point conversion to tie the game 14-14 at the half.

In the Third quarter, it was all Sequoyah. Austin Lunsford hauled in a 60-yard pass and Huffman pushed one into the end zone. After Logan McDonald's extra point the game was 21-14.

After a Scott County punt, Huffman continued the theme, scoring to make the game 28-14.

Jon Hamblin scored after Jake Phillips stripped King at mid field to make it 28-20. Chiefs had a slim lead heading to the fourth.

Thomas Spradlin recovĀerd a fumble, and Huffman sealed the deal with his fifth score, 35-20. Forrest McKane had a huge sack to preserve the win. C

aleb Minor, Ben Hall, Robbie Brummett and Luke Knott all had huge hits and tackles. Lunsford eded the contest with his second interception of the night.
