To kick off Fire Prevention Week (Oct.
8-12), all volunteer fire departments in Monroe County joined
together to hold an open house on Saturday at every volunteer fire
department location. At the Tellico Plains Fire Department, attendees
enjoyed free hotdogs, and children received free fire prevention
activity books and paper fire trucks. Pictured left to right: Ashlynn
Bivens, Sarah Stamey, Bryan Sinclair, Eli Yearwood and Cayden Moose
proudly show off their fire trucks. See more photos from Fire
Prevention Week on page 9 of the Wednesday, Oct. 10, edition of The Advocate & Democrat.
