MADISONVILLE-A Sweetwater man pleaded
guilty in Monroe County Criminal Court to a list of astonishing
crimes against several children, leading Judge Amy Reedy to order the
evidence sealed and opened only by court order Tuesday.
Charles Edgar "Eddie" Ledford, 46,
was arrested last December after a Sweetwater city codes enforcement
officer began an effort to get him to clean up a property on Oakland
Road. It was while inspecting the home that what Assistant District
Attorney Paul Rush described as a "mountain of pornography" was
found and made authorities suspicious.
"They were looking for asbestos," Rush said, "and found signs of hoarding behavior and an incredible
amount of debris. They also found a DVD with a girl's name on it
and the words cheerleading practice." See full story in the Wednesday, Sept. 26, edition of The Advocate & Democrat.
