The first edition of The People Paper
will be published Sunday, Oct. 7, announced Advocate and Democrat
Publisher Tommy Wilson.
"The Monroe County Advocate & Democrat is constantly looking for better ways to communicate with
the citizens of our region. With that in mind, we are introducing a
new publication named, The People Paper. This publication will
replace what is now known as The Valley News, which is circulated
free to non-subscribers of The Advocate & Democrat in Monroe
County. It is also offered in various locations around Monroe County
at no charge," said Wilson. To begin, there will be 6,000 free
copies distributed in the county each Sunday.
The People Paper is about the faces and
names of the people in Monroe County. As an example, we often take
more photos of an event than is possible to run in the newspaper. The
People Paper will be an opportunity to share those additional photos
and the names of the people in them.
If you do not get a copy of The People
Paper delivered to your home, they will be available at most
convenience stores and the other locations you currently find the
Valley News.
