Hibernation over as Bears begin camp

It's been a long offseason for Tellico, one they are ready to see end. It's been even longer since East Tennessee has seen John Mullinax roaming the sidelines. 

The former McMinn County coach has returned to Tennessee, and has welcomed the task of leading the Bears. 

"It's a good challenge. They've got great work ethic and attitude," said Mullinax.

The Bears have struggled in the last two seasons after a 10-win campaign three years ago. Players and fans alike hope Tellico can return to that recent success this year. 

Camp has already proven a positive atmosphere is now the norm around Bear country. 

"They've fought hard so far. They're going to do that. We're really building a brotherhood here," said Mullinax.
