Staying at home is what most wish for
when either old age or a serious illness comes calling and a business
coming to Monroe County wants to help that happen.
Family Home Care Services has been in
business for about three years, mainly in the McMinn County area, and
is now moving into the Monroe County area.
General Manager Tammy Anderson stressed
this not home health care, but a way to help you get things done
around the house and take care of other tasks.
"It's personal care assistance and
homemaker services," she said. "We help people with everything
from bathing to cleaning appliances. And it's need more than most
people realize. As people get older than can drift away from society,
sometimes to the point where no one ever goes to see them. I once
went into a home where the resident hadn't had a bath in months." See full story in the Sunday, July 29, edition of The Advocate & Democrat.
