MADISONVILLE-Four people were arrested
early Wednesday morning after their hotel room was found to be full
of drugs.
Madisonville Officer David Wear said an
investigation led officers to the Town and Country Motel where an
Autumn Melton was said to be staying with outstanding warrants
against her.
Wear said officers arrived at the motel
around 4:30 a.m. and saw Melton attempting to sneak out of a bathroom
window in room 4. After getting into the room, Melton was taken into
custody and officers found much more.
Wear said a syringe was found in the
bathroom sink and Melton said it belonged to her and contained
cocaine, which field testing later confirmed. See full story in the Sunday, July 29, edition of The Advocate & Democrat.
