National Weather Service forecasters
are calling for the hottest weather of the season so far with near
record high temperatures reaching triple digits by the end of the
week.
June 2012 has been relatively cool
compared to June 2011 and surprisingly mild after record warmth this
spring.
However, local residents got a taste of
summer heat this past weekend with highs in the mid 90s before a
midweek cool down brought temporary relief. Forecasters said
Tuesday's 80-degree weather will seem like ancient history when the
outdoor oven turns on Thursday. See full story in the Wednesday, June 27, edition of The Advocate & Democrat.
