Vonore Blue and White Game
Vonore Middle School will play a Blue and White game on Nov. 5 at 7 p.m. at the school.
The game will be an exhibition between the school's faculty and the school's boys' and girls' basketball teams.
Admission to the game is $2.
Sequoyah-Greenback game

The Sequoyah Chiefs' game against Greenback, set for tonight, has been cancelled.
The schools were slated to play an 11th game at The Chop House, but that game will not be played.
Upward Basketball Sign-ups
First Baptist Madisonville will be hosting their sixth season of Upward Basketball and Cheerleading this year.
Registration for this community-wide basketball and cheerleading league for kindergarten through sixth grade begins is now under way.
Registration forms will be distributed out through the community and will always be available at the First Baptist Church office.
The $50 registration fee for basketball includes a reversible mesh jersey, T-shirt, individual awards after each practice and game, an end of the year award, and more.
The $53 registration fee for cheerleaders includes a uniform, megaphone, pom poms, hair bow, recognition after every game, and an end of the season award.
Children are guaranteed equal playing time, separate leagues for boys and girls, one hour weekly practices, and one hour games on Saturdays throughout the eight week season.
Participants are individually evaluated and placed on teams according to their evaluation score, ensuring equal teams.
The evaluation process will take place on Saturday, Nov. 7. Evaluations will be held at the Madisonville Middle School Gym.
The 2009 season practices will begin Nov. 30 and the first game will be Jan. 9, 2010.

Tellico Plains Alumni Center
Tellico Plains High School needs your help.
When the Alumni Center is finished TPHS will have a place where all past alumni can relive their glory days and students of today can learn about Tellico High School history.
There will also be a state of the art weight room where the present and future athletes can train to make their own history.
