Monroe County Property Taxes are due and payable with no penalties and interest from now until Feb. 28, 2010.  Remember, the Trustee's office now has two new programs to benefit the taxpayer.
The first program is the Partial Payment Plan in which you may make payments on your 2009 property taxes within the County. You may also pay payments upon 2008 delinquent taxes.

  The second program is the ability to pay your 2009 taxes at BB&T and Volunteer Federal banks within the County. Banks may only take current 2009 taxes in full. No partial payments may be paid at banks, nor Tax Relief credit. Tax Relief recipients must come to the Trustee's office to complete the required forms.  If you are not currently receiving Tax Relief you may apply at the Trustee's office.

You may also mail your payment in full to the Monroe County Trustee's Office, 103 College Street South, Suite 2, Madisonville, TN  37354, make your payment in person at the Trustee's office, pay online at www.monroetrustee.com or drop payment in the Trustee drop box located outside the office.
