Published: 9:21 AM, 10/08/2009 Last updated: 9:25 AM, 10/08/2009

• On Saturday, Oct. 3, Sweetwater Police Officer Kris King was dispatched to the Kangaroo on Main Street. He was told a white male had just stolen beer from the store and left walking. The subject was found about 100 yards from store, hiding in some bushes. The subject was identified as Anthony Richard Tinnel. He smelled strongly of an alcoholic beverage and was unsteady on his feet. One open can of beer and one unopened can was found. Tinnel, 29, Sweetwater, was charged with public intoxication and shoplifting.

• Sweetwater Police Officer James Kile was dispatched to the waiting room at Sweetwater Hospital Saturday, Oct. 3, on a complaint of criminal trespassing. Upon arrival, Kile made contact with Berina Renee Bauman, 24, Spring City, coming out of the waiting room. About three hours earlier, the hospital had asked Bauman to leave the property and not return due to disturbing other patients. As she had not obeyed this earlier request, she was placed under arrest for criminal trespassing and transported to Monroe County Jail.

• Sweetwater Police Officer Nick Farrell responded to a call at 10:16 p.m., Saturday, Oct. 3, to Valley Trailer Park Lot #153 in reference to a burglary that had already occurred. Resident Adam Coley advised he had gone to a football game and when he returned, noticed the screen to one of the front windows was missing. After a search, Coley found he and his wife Betty's medication bottles were still inside, but were empty. Medications missing included: Oxycodone, Morphine and Hydrocodone.
