J. Alan Johnson, CPCU, ARM, AIS, owner of The Johnson Agency in Madisonville has been reappointed for 2008-09 to the National association’s Education Curriculum and Research Task Force for the Independent Insurance Agent’s and Broker’s of America (AAABA).
The Task Force is made up of six members chosen from across the nation, who have demonstrated a desire to enhance the insurance educational opportunities available to Independent Agents in the United States. During their term of service, the Task Force will examine current education offerings and help formulate new programs to be offered to IIABA members through their state association education departments.
The IIABA was founded in 1896 and is the largest and oldest association of independent insurance agents and brokers in the United States, with more than 300,000 members. Johnson has been an active member in the INSURORS of Tennessee (the state’s IIABA affiliate), serving over the years as Chairman of the Young Agents Committee, the Education Committee, the state Disaster Planning Task Force and as a member of the INSURORS Board of Directors.
