Spay/Neuter Assistance for Pets will offer free spay/neuter vouchers at the Madisonville Democrat Headquarters on Saturday, Nov. 7, starting at 10 a.m., until all vouchers are issued.  Voucher recipients will be asked for a donation. Vouchers are limited to Monroe and Loudon County residents.

A photo ID is required to show proof of residency. Vouchers will only be issued to pet owners earning less than $20,000/yr (individual) or $30,000/yr (family) or residents who are handicapped, disabled, on Medicaid, or Food Stamp recipients.  Recipients will be asked to sign a questionnaire stating that they meet one of these requirements.

 Vouchers will be valid for 30 days from the issue date and cover only the cost of spay/neuter surgery.  Participating veterinarians are Monroe County Animal Hospital and Sweetwater Veterinary Hospital in Sweetwater, Tellico Bay Animal Hospital in Vonore, and PPAWs in Greenback.
