(Last modified: 2009-06-29 09:42:02) This month the Monroe County Chamber of Commerce will hold the first of several summer workshops aimed at those wishing to start their own businesses as well as those already in business who are looking for help and guidance.
The first one is called "So You Want To Be An Entrepreneur" and will be held at 6 p.m., Tuesday, June 30 at the Monroe County Chamber of Commerce office. Topics include "How to Put Together a Business Plan," "How to Analyze Your Target Market," "Finances and Budgeting," and "Resources to Help You Get Started." Although the information will be very valuable for new businesses and start-ups, it's also extremely beneficial for businesses and non-profit organizations already in existence and looking for additional help during these challenging economic times. The next one is scheduled to be held sometime in July and the topic will be "Effective Marketing in these Economic Times." The exact date and time will be announced.
