Floyd Jim Hooper

Floyd Jim Hooper of Friendsville, passed away at 4:51 p.m., Thursday, Feb. 4, at Blount Memorial Hospital. He was a member of New Providence Baptist Church and a veteran of the Vietnam War.

He was 62.

Preceded in death by: mother, Helen Irene Coppenger Hooper.

Survivors include: wife-Glenda Ellis Hooper;

Father-Hedrick D. Hooper of Madisonville;

Sister and brother-in-law-Donna and Tony McGill of Madisonville;

Brothers and sisters-in-law-Gary Douglas and Vivian Hooper of Madisonville; and Dennis Allen Hooper and Pamela Hamilton of Vonore;

Several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be 8 p.m., Saturday, in Biereley-Hale Chapel, with the Rev. Bill Coppenger officiating. Interment will be 2 p.m., Sunday in New Providence Cemetery, with military honors provided by VFW Post #5156 and DAV #93. Family will receive friends from 6-8 p.m., before the funeral. Biereley-Hale Funeral Home, Madisonville, in charge or arrangements.
