Eva Sylvester Holt (Oct. 31, 2009) Eva Sylvester Holt of Tellico Plains, passed away at 4:20 p.m., Saturday, Oct. 31, at Wood Presbyterian Home. She was a lifelong resident of Tellico Plains, a well known, local artist, who participated in the Coker Creek Autumn Gold Festival for many years. She was a member of First Baptist Church of Tellico Plains and was a graduate of Tellico Plains High School, Class of 1937. She was 92. Preceded in death by: husband, James A. Holt; daughter, Kay Harms Johnson; and son, William (Bill) Holt. Survivors include: daughters and sons-in-law-Linda "Dody" and Frank Delano Raby of Cleveland; Donna and Kenny Hamilton of Tellico Plains; and Jo and Dan Ervin of Morristown; Son-Dennis P. Holt; Daughter-in-law-Jannette Holt, both of Tellico Plains; Eighteen grandchildren; Twenty-seven great-grandchildren; Two great-great-grandchildren; Several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be 8 p.m., Monday, in Biereley-Hale Chapel, with the Rev. Randy Irons officiating. Interment will be 11 a.m., Tuesday in Center Cemetery.
