Thelma Lee Bowers Ledford

Thelma Lee Bowers Ledford of Madisonville, was called home to be with the Lord at 5:05 p.m. Monday, July 23, at her home. She was a member of Big Creek Baptist Church.

She was 79.

Preceded in death by: loving husband, Newerl Ledford; parents, John and Elizabeth Bowers; and several sisters and brothers. Survivors include: daughters-Karen Pappas of Madisonville; and Jerry Brewer of Tellico Plains;

Sons and daughter-in-law-John and Amy Ledford and Darrell McKinley Ledford, all of Madisonville;

Grandchildren and spouses-Chris Pappas, Amanda and Scott Hicks, Davida and Chris Butler, Jeremy Brewer, Jessica Ledford and Leo Osorno, James Ledford, Jasmine Ledford and Brandon Ledford;

Eleven great-grandchildren;

Sister-Francis Hester of Madisonville;

Brother-Sylvester Bowers of Maryville;

Several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be 8 p.m., Wednesday, in Biereley-Hale Chapel, with Rev. Steve McDonald officiating. Interment will be 11 a.m., Thursday, in Hopewell Springs Cemetery. Family will receive friends from 6-8 p.m. before the services. Biereley-Hale Funeral Home, Madisonville, in charge
