Betty Sue Davis Crisp

Betty Sue Davis Crisp of Athens, passed away Sunday, Feb. 7,
at Athens Regional Medical Center. She was a long-time resident of McMinn
County and was a former employee with the McMinn County Courthouse and
Tennessee Wesleyan College. She was a daughter of the late Clarence and Beulah
Crowder Davis.
She was 79.
Preceded in death by: son, LaBron Crisp; sister, Ella Mae
Cole; and brothers, Harlin, Harvey and Jim Davis.
Survivors include: daughters and son-in-law-Seleta Darlene
Warden and husband, Marty of Phenix City, Ala.; Betty Jean Tyndall of Athens;
and Vicky Knox of Athens;
Sister-Hazel Davis of Etowah;
Brother-Clarence Davis Jr. of Tellico Plains;
Grandchildren-Donnie Crisp, Chad Crisp, Wayne Campbell,
Crystal Harkins, Bethany Britton, Lydia Wells, Sarah Ottinger and Branden
Tyndall;
Nineteen great-grandchildren;
Former husband of 45 years-Clyde Crisp of Athens.
Funeral services will be 7 p.m., Wednesday, at Ziegler
Funeral Home with Pastor Michael Coleman officiating. Friends and family will
meet at 10 a.m., Thursday, at Piney Grove Cemetery in Tellico Plains for
graveside services. Pallbearers will be Wayne Campbell, Donnie Crisp, Chad
Crisp, Paul Harkins, Ryan Ottinger and Deric Britton. The family of Betty Crisp
will receive friends from 5-7 p.m., before the funeral. Ziegler Funeral Home,
Athens, in charge of arrangements.
