Donald E. Best

Donald E. Best of Madisonville, passed away at 11:55 a.m., Thursday, Feb. 4, at his home. He was a member of First Baptist Church of Madisonville and a veteran of the U.S. Army.

He was 71.

Preceded in death by: first wife, Antoinette Best; parents, Byron M. and Ethel Irene Findlay Best; and two brothers.

Survivors include: wife-Norma Morgan Best;

Daughter and son-in-law-Susan and Mark Lewandowski of Rochester Hills, Mich.;

Sons and daughter-in-law-Don and Vivian Best of Livonia, Mich.; and Jim Best of Northville, Mich.;

Grandchildren-Donnie and David Best;

Stepchildren-John and Kim Schinkai of Cookeville; and Judy and David Self of Madisonville;

Step-grandchildren-Annie Sherman and Lindsey Schinkai;

Several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be 3 p.m., Saturday, in Biereley-Hale Chapel, with Dr. Lon Shoopman officiating. Interment will be in Haven Hill Memorial Gardens with military honors provided by VFW Post #5156 and DAV #93. Family will receive friends from 1:30-2 p.m., Saturday, at Biereley-Hale Funeral Home. Biereley-Hale Funeral Home, Madisonville, in charge of arrangements.
