Rosemary Gilson of Sweetwater, passed away on Sunday, Jan. 31, at home. She was born on Sept. 26, 1941 in Reedsburg, Wis. to Merriwell and Emilia "Micky" (Born) Huebing Sr. Rosemary graduated in 1959 from Webb High School in Reedsburg, where she was voted Homemaker of Tomorrow. Rosemary was a real estate broker in Berlin, Wis., before moving to Tennessee in 1976. There she went to work for Stokely Industries in Tellico Plains. She retired from Alcoa Aluminum Company as a maintenance/welder after 16 years of service. After she retired she spent time volunteering at the UT Botanical Gardens and was a member of the International Crane Foundation. She was member of the Tennessee Valley Unitarian Universalist Church and Foothills Unitarian Universalist Fellowship.

Art was an important part of Rosemary's life. Throughout she painted with oils, pastels, charcoal and water colors. She also worked with clay, ceramics and stained glass. However, her passion has always been glass blowing. In the past two years she started taking glass blowing classes and was able to submit her work to AAMC Art shows.

She was 68.

Preceded in death by: son, Mark Gilson.

Survivors include: her mother- Emilia "Micky" (Born) Huebing of Reedsburg;

Children-Kelly Fellion of Marinette, Wis. and Lynne (James) Murr of Greenback;

Four grandchildren, and three great-grandchildren; and

Two brothers and sisters-in-law-Merriwell  and Mary Huebing, Jr. of Oxford, Fla.; and Gary and Kathy Huebing of Baraboo, Wis.

Services will be held at 2 p.m. Sunday at the Foothills Unitarian Universalist Fellowship, in Maryville at the Everett Senior Citizens Center, with refreshments to follow. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the American Diabetes Association, 211 Center Park Dr., Suite 3010, Knoxville, TN 37922. McCammon-Ammons-Click Funeral Home, Maryville, in charge of arrangements.
