Maude Laney Ritchey

Maude Laney Ritchey of Madisonville, passed away at 6:30 p.m., Thursday, Nov. 5, at Parkwest Medical Center. She was a member of Bethlehem Baptist Church.

She was 88.

Preceded in death by: parents, George W. and Matilda Payne Laney.

Survivors include: husband of 70 years-Reed Ritchey;

Daughters and sons-in-law-Melgena and Jerry Sylvester of Tellico Plains; Katherine and John Brannon, Yvaughn and Jerry Watson and Maxine Turpin, all of Madisonville;

Son-Jim Ritchey of Madisonville;

Nine grandchildren;

Eighteen great-grandchildren;

One great-great-grandson;

Several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be 8 p.m., Sunday, in Biereley-Hale Chapel, with the Rev. Gale Miller and Rev. Lynn King officiating. Interment will be 11 a.m., Monday, in Notchey Creek Cemetery. Family will receive friends from 6-8 p.m., before the funeral. Biereley-Hale Funeral Home, Madisonville, in charge of arrangements.
