Pearl Bryant
Alexander of Sweetwater, went home to be the Lord on Tuesday morning Aug. 5, at
the family home. She was of the
Baptist faith.
She was 93.
Preceded in death by: her husband of 67 years on January 29,
1999, Edgar Lee Alexander; her parents, Joseph and Mary Emmerson Bryant;
brothers, Albert, Henry, Bill and Browder Bryant; sisters, Callie Parsons,
Effie Bryant and Mattie Click; three great-grandchildren.
Survivors include: daughters and son-in-law- Barbara and
Ralph Teague of Tellico Plains; Doris Collins of Rockford, Ill.; and Brenda
Fitch of Sweetwater;
Sons and daughters-in-law-Charles and Joyce Alexander of
Winslow, Ariz.; Jimmie and Constance Alexander of Sweetwater; Rev. Douglas and
Verna Alexander of Madisonville; beloved son, Donald Gerald “ Jerry” Alexander
of the family home;
Brother and sisters-in-law-George and Marge Bryant of
Etowah; Catherine Reed of Crossville;
Eleven grandchildren;
Twenty-three great-grandchildren;
Four great-great-grandchildren;
A host of nephews, nieces, relatives and friends.
The body is at Kyker Funeral Home, Sweetwater, where the
family will receive friends on Thursday from 6-8 p.m. Graveside service and interment will be 2 p.m., Friday in
the Sweetwater Valley Memorial Park with Rev. Doug Alexander and Rev. Steve
Teague officiating.
Great-grandsons will serve
as pallbearers. Memorials may be
made to the church of your choice, Gideon International, or the Sweetwater
Baptist Association. Kyker Funeral Home, Sweetwater, in charge of arrangements.
